A mere 10 years after its first show in Culver City, IndieCade is announcing its expansion into Europe. The inaugural IndieCade Europe is slated to take place in Paris, France on November 18th and 19th of 2016 at CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers). Though previous offshoots IndieCade East and IndieCade Showcase @ E3 opened up more of America to the culture of independent gaming, IndieCade Europe marks the first overseas festival to fly the IndieCade banner.

A Capital Idea

The European arm of IndieCade is to be sponsored by Capital Games, France’s video game business federation. Consisting of more than 70 game companies, Capital Games provides ongoing support for developers in all facets of design, research and development, marketing and financial concerns. This collaboration works alongside numerous private and government offices in the interest of fortifying the gaming industry within the French nation. IndieCade Europe will bring international attention to developers in the country and the surrounding regions.

Like its North American counterparts, attendees can participate in workshops, seminars and networking-friendly social functions. A selection of European indie games will be showcased during the festival, and all games submitted to IndieCade’s Fall Festival in Los Angeles are also able to participate in this event. Consistently, games and developers featured at IndieCade events have been met with worldwide critical accolades.

Still planning on submitting your game for Los Angeles this year? You only have until June 1st, 2016.
