Seven Days, Seven Rising Stars

Rising Star Games, an indie game publisher, has teamed up with Humble Bundle for the website’s current weekly deal. The current Humble Weekly Bundle features all seven games currently listed on Steam from the publisher. Pay what you want and receive the following three games:

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut

by Rising Star Games

A cult classic released five years ago for Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3, Deadly Premonition is a controversial survival horror game drawing inspiration from the likes of Twin Peaks. Players either loved or hated the game’s morbid humor and quirky characters. If you didn’t play it on the console when it was initially released—or if you did and you’re ready to revisit the town of Greenvale—the PC “Director’s Cut” version features enhanced graphics and new storyline content.

The Marvellous Miss Take

by Wonderstruck

A more lighthearted-than-usual take on the stealth genre, The Marvellous Miss Take is a high-speed art heist game with appealingly cartoonish graphics in a 3/4 top down isometric-like style in a sort of “Carmen Sandiego meets Team Fortress 2” look.

Tulpa

by Encryptique

Guide two characters through a colorful but eerie world in this side-scrolling mix of puzzles and platforming. Tulpa also features surrealistic, vaguely tribal-inspired art and an enigmatic plot that’s gone over the heads of some players. Maybe you’ll have an easier time understanding it?

Anyone paying more than the average for this bundle will receive two additional games:

Kromaia

by Kraken Empire

Inspired by classic arcade shoot-’em’-ups, Kromaia takes them a step further by removing the whole concept of “scrolling” entirely from the equation. You still get to blast hordes of enemies and dodge waves of bullets, but now they’re coming from every direction in all three dimensions at once. If that doesn’t sound dizzying enough, it also supports the Oculus Rift.

Cloudbuilt

from Coilworks

A parkour game with an anime-inspired art style, IGR’s own Kit Goodliffe praised Cloudbuilt for its fast-paced action and “beautiful and mysterious” visuals.

An additional two games are also included in this bundle for anyone who pays $8 and above:

TRI: Of Friendship and Madness

from Rat King Entertainment

A first-person puzzle game, TRI: Of Friendship and Madness excels at creating puzzles that can be solved in multiple ways. IGR writer HappyWulf gave the game “high marks across the board” for its “emergent, exploratory gameplay,” and it made our list of the Top 10 Best Indie Games of 2014.

Ratz Instagib (Early Access)

from Lino Slahuschek

A rodent-themed multi-player FPS, Ratz Instagib boils things down to “one shot, one kill” and throws in rocket jumps and railguns to keep the pace frantic. “Oh, rats!” you’ll exclaim, “Fragged again.” Still in Early Access, this game’s promised future developments include additional cosmetic items for your rats as well as a map editor.

All games in this bundle are available for Steam. Both Tulpa and TRI: Of Friendship and Madness are available for Windows PC, Mac and Linux. The Marvellous Miss Take and Ratz Instagib are available for both Windows and Mac, while the remaining games are Windows-only. Additionally, all games except Cloudbuilt and Ratz Instagib also come in DRM-free versions.

A portion of the proceeds from this bundle go to Charity: Water, which helps to bring clean drinking water to people in developed countries, and SpecialEffect, a UK charity that helps people with disabilities enjoy video games.

This bundle only lasts until Thursday, September 3rd, so take advantage as soon as you can!
