GameLoading: Rise of the Indies documentary film out now on Steam

Released April 21st on a number of different platforms, including Steam and iTunes, GameLoading: Rise of the Indies is a new full-length documentary covering the independent video game scene.

Developed by Melbourne, Australia’s StudioBento, the film—three years in the making and initially funded on Kickstarter—features interviews with such developers as John Romero (creator of Doom and Quake), Davey Wreden (creator of award-winning adventure game The Stanley Parable), Rami Ismail of Studio Vlambeer (the company behind such games as Ridiculous Fishing and Super Crate Box) and Zoe Quinn (creator of Depression Quest).

The film has screened in several cities, including San Francisco during GDC and Boston during PAXEast. The studio is hoping to hold additional screenings, as well.

The film is available for purchase from a number of platforms, including Steam, iTunes, XBOX, PlayStation and Playism. Supporters can also purchase the game directly from the GameLoading.tv site as part of a bundle that also includes an eBook, soundtrack and extra video content.
